TEA STRAINER MATTE GREY ON RICH BROWN
Loose leaf tea transforms the everyday routine of drinking tea into a ritual. Brewing tea leaves in a pot and straining the fresh brew into our cup reminds us to slow down and savour every sip.
Matte grey glaze covers rich brown clay to create subtle colour variations that blend from fawn to grey to a pale pink. Our Tea Strainer is formed entirely by hand: the base of the small organic dish is finished with a diamond of hand-punctured holes and trimmed with hand-formed handles. Rest it on one of our Pinch Bowls in between pouring.
Designed by Sarah Van Raden and individually crafted in Portland, each piece is hand thrown in Sarah's beautiful bright studio. Her warm homey earthenware is characterised by simple clean lines that are soft and easy to live with. All Notary ceramics are handcrafted out of clay made in the Pacific Northwest using only the highest quality raw materials sourced from around the United States. Made in small batches with great care, each piece is a little work of art.
Approx. size: 7cm (D) x 14cm incl. handles
Also available in ivory clay and matte white glaze.
Care: to preserve its full beauty and extend its longevity, this strainer is better when it is washed by hand. Though the occasional spin through a dishwasher is also fine.
