HAND FORGED COPPER CUP
These copper cups are special. Made entirely by hand in the northern Italian mountains, they embody the union of modern Italian design and traditional artisanal craftsmanship. Crafted with tremendous care and attention, their minimalist silhouette has a textured surface that has been forged through a hand-hammering process. The delicate grooves, unique to each cup, tell the story of artisanal skill passed down for generations.
The Navarini workshop is overseen by master craftsman Pierino Navarini and is the working place of three generations of skilled craftsmen working side by side to create objects of beauty. Whether it is the quality of the materials used, the quality of the craftsmanship applied or the quality of the painstaking process of making everything by hand, the Navarini family believe that there can be no shortcuts and that there is no substitution for hard work. Quality is a fundamental requirement in every single product the workshop produces.
These cups were created in collaboration with young Italian designer and architect Valentina Candioli of Officina Rovereto. Her aesthetic sensibility characterised by simple timeless design and a focus on natural materials perfectly echoes our own. Her vision combined with the skilled craftsmanship of the Navarini family result in an object of true beauty that is at once understated and impactful.
Perfect for special occasions, the Hand Forged Copper Cups dress the table beautifully and create the kind of warm welcoming atmosphere that makes guests want to stay around the table well into the night. We like to use them for cold water on warm summer nights. The thermal conductivity of copper makes these cups perfectly suited for serving iced water as it ensures the water stays cooler for longer.

Care: Hand wash gently. The copper can be polished with a soft wet cloth and vinegar, lemon or dishwashing liquid though we find that the beautiful patina* that develops over time is precisely what gives copper objects their unique charm. The traces of how they are used will layer over the marks left by the handcrafting process to tell a story completely unique to you. We would, therefore, recommend only polishing the interior of the cups in order to preserve their unique character.
Note: our Hand Forged Copper Cups are not suitable for hot drinks and we would advise against using them to serve drinks with a pH value lower than 6. These cups are perfect when used as water vessels, flower vases or decorative containers for paint brushes, pencils, makeup brushes, etc.
*the images with flowers and ice cubes show an aged cup that has started to develop its unique patina.
